«Promote the accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers is not only a necessity for the disabled but a benefit for all citizens»

In 2015 it is estimated that 50% of the world’s population will live in cities, therefore should be equipped with the necessary resources to facilitate the participation of all its inhabitants. Also, with increasing life expectancy in today’s society, the group of citizens who have limited mobility problems, temporarily or permanently, is more and more numerous. Therefore, actions to improve accessibility and remove barriers preventing or architectural, urban, transport and communication, provide an improved quality of life for all citizens and integration into the social fabric of collective for which these interventions are absolutely necessary in order to make a fully autonomous and independent life, or with minimal help from another person.

Magen Arquitectos has developed studies and projects, both residential and public use, incorporating accessibility as a fundamental principle. Often, a good design for older people and people with disabilities is good for anyone.
