Alejandro de la Sota Foundation and Ministry of Fomento organize the III National Congress of Architecture “Pioneers of Spanish Modern Architecture: critical analysis of a work”, dedicated to the study of significant works built by Spanish architects born around the 1910s and 1020s. The Congress will be held on 20th and 21st May 2016 in Madrid. Jaime Magen Pardo has been selected to lecture the paper “Parish church in Canfranc by Miguel Fisac. Memory and matter of the place”.

The On Sustainability Knowledge Community organizes the 11th International Conference on Sustainability in Copenhagen from 21st to 23rd January with the motto “Sustainability Dividends – Development Fault Lines” to provide a forum to debate and rethink methods and approaches to reach sustainable development based in the four pillars of social, economic, cultural and environmental sustainability. This year plenary speakers are Jacob Hartman, Olaf Gerlach Hansen, Selina Juul, Elsebeth Gerner Nielsen and Amareswar Galla. Francisco Javier Magen Pardo has been selected to lecture the paper “Towards a sustainability performance certificate for European cities”.

The Swedish School of Planning organizes an International Seminar “Planning for Sustainable Urban Form” to provide a forum to debate on sustainability with focus on planning and urban form. The Seminar will gather professors and architects from different countries (Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain Switzerland and United Kingdom), representing a broad disciplinary filed, ranging from planning to architecture on November 12th to 14th, 2014 at Blekinge Institute of Technology (Karlskrona, Sweden). Francisco Javier Magen Pardo has been selected to lecture in the Session “Urban form, agency and sustainable development”.
International Workshop «Talent at work» by Pirelli. Milano, Italy. 2014.
Pirelli organizes the Meeting “Talent at Work”, with nine internationally recognized emerging artists and designers, from Brazil, Italy, Denmark, China, Ireland, Bosnia and Spain, from the fields of Architecture, furniture design, fashion, cinema, gastronomy and music. Among the, Jaime Magen is the only selected architect.

A lecture dedicated to the work by Miguel Fisac was held in the University of Zaragoza last 3rd because of his centenary, with interventions by Professors Iñaki Bergera, Eduardo Delgado, Ricardo Sánchez Lampreave, Zaira Peinado y Jaime Magén, related to the most importants moments of the career of one the most outstanding Spanish architects in 20th Century.

Jaime and Francisco Javier Magén lectured at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra in which they show their latest projects, some of them included in the book “Magén Arquitectos 2002-2012″. The lecture closed the Master’s Degree in Environmental Design and Management of Buildings, addressing the issue of sustainability through different projects. The lecture, titled “Material Landscapes”, was based on the idea of promoting the dialogue with the landscape and the implementation of mild strategies of sustainability, which is more than just energy efficiency.

Jaime Magen Pardo participated in the Meeting Noise, Education, Engineering and Architecture with the lecture “Noise in educational buildings: Architect`s vision”. The Meeting is organized by the University of Zaragoza`s Vibroacustic Research Group and will be held 24th April, from 18:00 to 21:00 h, in Betancourt Building`s assembly hall of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (EINA) of the University of Zaragoza.
