The new Center for Biophysics (ZBP) is centrally located on the Saarbrücken campus at the Stuhlsatzenhausweg. The volumetric articulation of the two heights that the building presents determines the image and reinforces the requirement as a point of reference on campus, especially the perception from the north.

The spatial organization allows clear orientation within the building and promotes communication and interaction between users, advanced training and scientific research. Each department is located in a differentiated area with access from the lobby or gallery on the respective floor, arranged around the atrium and the longitudinal interior patio.
